Sanremo has always been loved by writers, poets and great personalities who have made history not only in Italy, but also worldwide.

Deep blue sea, the scent of flowers and little houses crossing in the ancient medieval area called “Pigna”: this is the soul of Sanremo, but there is also a more modern and fashionable side of the town: Via Giacomo Matteotti, where you can find the most exclusive shops, the most luxurious restaurants and plenty of cafés and ice cream parlours.
In this street there is also the famous Casino Municipale. Built in 1905, the casino is the undisputed realm of roulette’s, green tables’ and slot machines’ lovers.

Sanremo is famous thanks to the numerous events which entertain visitors every year, summer or winter, when they fill the streets.
We begin with February. If we talk about the Ariston theatre, everyone will immediately recall the famous Italian Song Festival, which every year since 1951 has become a tradition to which no one is willing to give up.
In March, instead, Sanremo in Fiore takes place. It is a wonderful parade of floral floats, music, colours, scents and traditions.
Another important event is the Milan-Sanremo cycling race, which has excited enthusiasts of all sports for more than 100 editions and covers a distance of over 300 km.
And for non-professionals, families with children and all fans of cycling, for a few years you can walk in the West bike lane, a 20 km route above the sea taken from the path of the former railway station.
And after an unforgettable summer, full of events, fireworks and music, in October Sanremo opens the door to engines, hosting the Sanremo Rally, the famous competition held since 1928 and entered the legend.
